Congratulations to Kays Medical Supplies and Denovo Design on gaining a coverted ‘Silver Award’ as one of the major prize-winners in the International Green Apple Awards 2009 for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage.
The ‘Silver Award’ was presented by star of stage and screen, author, and keen environmentalist, Kate O’Mara, at Hampton Court Palace on Monday 29 June 2009.
Kays Medical Architects
Liverpool Joinery & Building Contractors were appointed for a £0.5M office refurbishment contract in Liverpool City Centre. The contract was with Kays Medical and the internal and external works were to a terrace of 3 Georgian townhouses in the Shaw Street Conservation Area. Works commenced on site in late 2008 and the 2 Phase contract was completed on time and on budget in early 2009.
LJ&BC developed a good working relationship with the Client, Design Team and Council Officers which ensured the smooth progress of the contract. The work was completed to a high standard of finish - which was appreciated by the Client and recognized by the judges of the Northwest Business Awards (finalist) and by The National Built Environment and Heritage Award 2009 – Silver Award). Minor post-contract defects and additional works required by the Client were dealt with promptly and efficiently.
I would have no hesitation in recommending LJ&BC for future work of a similar value – and in fact, included them on the very next tender opportunity.
